Re: T3R, T3G

Dear sir Anton. zehr schőnen bitte eines aktuell-fahrzeugen liste,T3 T4 ex Kyjev sehr schönen bitte, 6514
anton: wow! anyway, 3-5 years ago, the situation with tramcars here in prague was quite similar - old T3 from early 60s, already "sentenced to death" and in service only as schoolcars or "dienstwagen" (no idea whats this term in Eng - service car?), were rebuilt to T3R.P and T3R.PV type and have some 20 years of extended/renewed regular service to go... this was obvious particularly when the new route to barrandov opened as there was a sudden need for more trams in regular service.

It seems that there is no pressing need to keep older vehicles moving here. Old T3 get rebuilt to T3R.P but Prague purchases new chassises as well (T3R.PV and T3R.PLF) and, of course, there are those completely new trams 14T (the option is for 60 vehicles). The upcoming 15T type shall fill in any gaps in future.
Dekui moc!!
Now I understand.
Offtop: in my city every car is important, our depots do everything they can to make the tram move. For example, repaired after the fire T6B5 #044 got T3 windows, because they need one more car in service, but there were no T6 size glass! During the reconstruction to T3G, there were done some changes in the car's frame. To fit the Progress electronics inside and make the car "compatible" with the othe ones, it will be (probably) necessary to do some additionally changes. (I don't know the technical details.)Anton_H píše:One more question: if all the problems where connected with electronics, why did they destroy the tram? Why they couldn't change electronics to TV-Progress?
So the public transport company have bought rather a new frame (price about 1 000 000 Kc = 350 000 EUR) and claim it as a recontruction of the old car.

Ale jistě.. http://www.prazsketramvaje.cz/view.php? ... 2007021001PvvS píše:Mel bych dotaz : Existuje jeste skrin z 8200 ?
Mam takovy nejisty tuseni ze brzy by mohla byt poptavka po jedny skrini , nejlip s upravou na TV8 ...
And there is a lot of problems to buy spare parts for the TV8 control system used (not just) in the T3G cars. Also the public transport companies operating a series of T3G cars (Brno, Ostrava) has problems with the lack of spare parts.Quetzalcoatl píše:The main cause of scraping 8200 is that it was the only car of its type. It was also quite unreliable.
